SCAD Special Collections
STUDIO III WINTER 2024
The purpose of the Archives and Special Collections Department is to preserve rare, fragile, and old materials within a secure environment, while also providing access to the SCAD community and to the general public.
This is a three-story multipurpose space where art is safely preserved, archivists have a dedicated workspace, and people have the chance to access a repository of thoughts bound, dated, and catalogued.
The design’s grandeur gives way to warmth and tranquility that characterize a space that invites wonder: a grand lobby, an exhibition space built for community education and inquiry, and reading nooks tucked away like secret alcoves.
MISTRAU
STUDIO IV SPRING 2024
This is a collaborative project from Studio IV. The class as a whole created the brand, Mistrau, and within that, five groups each designed a pop up experience taking place in the Pierre Cardin Quarry in Lacoste, France. The groups were as follows: Haute Couture, Ready-to-wear, Leather, Accessories, and Beauty & Fragrance.
This luxury leather pop-up emphasizes humanity’s imprint on the Provencal area, shown through worn stone, ancient villages, and centuries of culture. This balance of resilience and fluidity mirrors the duality of Provence’s elemental forces, rooting itself in the land and its rich history. The concept of Veiled Armour is visually expressed through texture, translucency and the rhythm of fine, flowing details contrasting against the rough stone.

INTENTIONAL COLOR
My client finds herself inspired most by films, and so I took my concept inspiration from films that use color in specific ways to tell story, like the work of Wes Anderson, Tommy (1975), and The Holy Mountain (1973), which are two of the client’s favorite films.
STUDIO I SPRING 2023
Studio I was our introduction to the process of designing an interior design project from start to finish. We focused on hand-rendering, concept development, and schematic design for a small residential project with our client chosen for us. We did not use any BIM software in this class.
